Tour Details
This hike is intended for visitors who are interested in both contemplating the tropical rainforest and enjoying a pleasant walk during the day. Our guides will show you the different types of forests that host the wide range of species and ecosystems that make up the amazing Osa Peninsula.
The hike starts going uphill through a mature secondary forest into an exuberant primary forest, through which you will climb up to the highest point of the hike, the trail. Then, the trail starts to wind down through a primary forest, reaching a beautiful regeneration area. The hike ends at Tigre River (a gorgeous place called El Salto) where you can take a refreshing bath.
Duration: 5 hours with two schedules you can choose from.
You must take:
- Water
- Snacks and lunch
- Hiking boots and pants preferably
- A poncho or raincoat
- Carry your belongings in a plastic bag to keep them dry
- Swimming suit
